Yeswelder is a rapidly emerging welding brand with a huge following. Thanks to the support and love of our fans, we have achieved two world firsts: the first-ever crowdfunding project for a welding machine and the largest crowdfunding amount ever raised for a welding machine to date. As a renowned supplier of electrical welders, we offer welders from personal DIY grade to professional industrial grade. We welcome wholesalers, distributors, dealers, traders, and agents to engage in bulk purchases with us.

    What is TIG welding

TIG welding, or Tungsten Inert Gas welding, is a welding process that uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode to produce the weld. It is also known as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), which requires an inert gas shield instead of a slag to protect the weldpool. TIG welding has played a major role in the acceptance of aluminum for high-quality welding and structural applications.

The most widely used materials in TIG welding are stainless steel, aluminum, and nickel alloys. TIG is ideal for welding thin metals – for example, plate sheets of less than 4 mm.

    Advantages of TIG welding

High-Quality Welds: TIG welding produces clean, high-quality welds with a superior finish. The welds are free from spatter, slag, and contaminants, resulting in aesthetically pleasing joints.
Strong and Durable Welds: The welds produced by TIG welding are strong and durable, with excellent mechanical properties and resistance to corrosion.
Clean Process: The use of inert gas as a shielding gas ensures that the weld area is protected from atmospheric contamination, resulting in a clean welding process with minimal post-weld cleanup required.
Environmentally Friendly: TIG welding does not produce as much smoke, fumes, or sparks as some other welding methods, making it a safer and more environmentally friendly option.
Suitable for All Positions: TIG welding can be performed in any position (flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead), making it versatile for various applications and environments.

Industries Where MIG Welders Can Be Applied

    • High-Quality Welds: TIG welding produces clean, high-quality welds with a superior finish. The welds are free from spatter, slag, and contaminants, resulting in aesthetically pleasing joints.
    • Precision Control: The process allows for precise control over the heat input, making it ideal for intricate and detailed work. This is particularly important for welding thin materials or intricate assemblies.
    • Versatility: TIG welding can be used on a wide range of metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, magnesium, copper, and other non-ferrous metals. It is suitable for both thin and thick materials.
    • Strong and Durable Welds: The welds produced by TIG welding are strong and durable, with excellent mechanical properties and resistance to corrosion.
    • No Filler Material Required: For some applications, TIG welding can be performed without the use of filler material, reducing the need for additional consumables and making the process more efficient.
